   - USD 69 millions + EURO 5 millions, in 10 years

PERFORMANCES

   - 1,355 projects implemented in all Romanian counties
   - 225 projects simultaneously implemented in 2009
   - Over 620,000 beneficiaries

Community facilitation

PREPARATION FACILITATION

   - Offering assistance to beneficiaries in evaluating their needs, selecting their leaders and preparing the financing applications



REPAIRING FACILITATION

   - Resolve social problems within communities (lack of beneficiaries' involvement in accomplishing projects, conflicts, misunderstandings between beneficiaries or, between them and local authorities, constructors, suppliers, etc)

NETWORK FACILITATION

   - Develop association forms between beneficiaries, facilitate the exchange of experience concerning the run and sustainability of projects, and support the continuity of local development

PERFORMANCES

   - 82% of the projects handed by the facilitated communities in 2003 have been approved
   - All the communities facilitated in 2003 handed projects
   - 75 mining communities of 16 counties have been facilitated simultaneously within 3 months (in 2995)

Organization of support networks among beneficiaries

OBJECTIVES

TYPES OF ACTIVITIES

   - Visits for studying, knowledge and experience sharing
   - Trainings on specific domains
   - Participate at training sessions presenting financing programs
   - Meetings with specialists and representatives of local authorities
   - Creating promotional materials
   - Organizing and/or attending workshops, fairs, festivals
   - Creating formal associations to represent their interests

   - Communities, NGO's or local authorities which successfully finalized a project
   - Communities, NGO's or local authorities which implement projects
   - Communities, NGO's or local authorities which intend to hand projects

PERFORMANCES

   - 6 active inter-community networks within: social services, wood processing, beekeeping, processing sun-flower seeds, water supply, maintaining roads status
   - Over 130 beneficiaries involved in networks activities
   - One professional association of 10 members made up by former beneficiaries of income generating activities projects (beekeeping)
